Abstract

We intend in this paper to survey the possibility of controlling the FGM plate vibrations using the piezoelectric layers. To solve this problem the FEM method has been utilized. Second order elements with 9 nodes have been used for meshing. The displacement field and the electric potential field have been considered as TSDT and linear respectively. In the end, conclusion has been drawn from the discussion that it is possible to control the FGM plate vibrations using the piezoelectric layers, without the need to review the dynamic parameters of the structure such as the natural frequencies.
